Cole Harbour High Remembers Maxine Tynes
The Grade 11 class at Cole Harbour High held a special assembly to pay tribute to Maxine Tynes, a former teacher who passed away last September. Her teaching career spanned over 30 years at both Cole Harbour High and Auburn High, and she was a leader in bringing Africentric learning to the school system. The students invited special guest Shauntay Grant to the assembly and were visibly moved by her spoken word presentation. Students Brittney Todd, Marquis Gray, Sandrico Provo and Marqeis Williams led the assembly and showcased their talents to the group.
