Wake up call for Prostate Cancer

The Wake Up Call Breakfast is Canada’s only country-wide business focused breakfast series dedicated to the fight against prostate cancer. Recently, over four hundred business leaders and guests attended the event at the World Trade and Convention Centre. The breakfast was highlighted by a moving story of survival by guest speaker, Sgt. Peter Grabosky of the Canadian Armed Forces. Key volunteer Valerie Corkum was presented with the Local Hero Award, in recognition of her exemplary leadership in her support of Prostate Cancer Canada. Since 2001, the event has attracted more than 18,000 registrants nation-wide, and raised over $2.3 million to fund prostate cancer research, education, support and awareness initiatives.
