Record Breaking Cheese Cutting Attempt

Member stores of the Loblaw Company held a chain-wide world record breaking attempt for the most Parmigiano-Reggiano wheels cracked simultaneously. Superstore locations in our area participated in the project. Staff were specially trained in the technique to split the 34 kilogram cheese wheels. With precision timing and rigid guidelines, the record of 176 wheels was officially shattered with 305 authenticated split wheels of cheese. The world famous Parmigiano Cheese has been crafted the same way for over one thousand years and can sell for upwards of forty dollars per kilogram.
